A temporary passcode will allow you to authenticate if you can't use your 2FA device. For example:
- You will be visiting a testing center where you cannot use your registered device.
- You've forgotten or lost your device (but you've registered a recovery email address for your account).
- You will be working somewhere without your device.
To request a passcode: Do you currently have access to your 2FA device?
Note: Temporary passcodes are designed for short-term occasional or emergency use. Each code can be used 100 times and expires after 3 days. You can request a temporary passcode a maximum of 24 times a year.
